TESTDRIVE (2002)
TESTDRIVE is the artist book which accompanied my exhibition by the same name at Eye Level Gallery (March 11- April 6, 2002). This publication was the first compilation I made of my collection of car names in the form of photographs. The cover taglines were selected from my collection of SUV advertisement slogans, displayed in depth in my work SUV Series (2002).
Many of the images in this book were exhibited in Testdrive as part of my work SUV which included both pictures of vehicles names framed close up, then a rear shot of each car to show the surrounding context.
