WE ARE SORRY (2009)
In 2009, the Yukon Arts Centre exhibited both SORRY, featuring 22 recent apology mouth images, and WE ARE SORRY, which had gone up as part of the Laneway Commissions public art program in Melbourne, Australia in July of that year.
Both works use public apologies as a medium to shed light on the spectacle of this contemporary ritual and mark the importance of post-apology follow through in calls towards reconciliation.
