x2 (2011)

x2 was created as part of the 2010/2011 Visual Arts Nova Scotia Mentorship Program, during which Cathy Busby worked with mentee, Matthew Carswell to develop his project. Busby's work PARKING GOTTINGEN ST. (2011), originally shown as a text installation during the mentorship group exhibition at Eye Level Gallery (Halifax), is published in this anthology.

PARKING GOTTINGEN ST. is part of Busby's body of work on car culture which includes Testdrive (2002), SUV Series (2002), Totalled (2004), DRIVE IT LIKE YOU STOLE IT (2011), PARKING (2019) and PARKED (2024).
