Hands Across the Sky (2016)
Hands Across the Sky is a collaborative work with Charlene Vickers performed at VIVO Media Arts as part of thirstDays, curated by Jayce Salloum in 2016.
Informed by the work of Lygia Clark, Simone Forti, Rebecca Belmore and AA Bronson, this performance is a gestural and sonic exploration of our mutual interest in non-verbal expressions of cross-cultural trauma. For this work, we utilized vocal and instrumental sound and audience participation to think and feel though ways of dealing with these experiences.
