WHATEVER I LIKE (2007)

As part of the exhibition Whatever I Like at Pickled Art Centre (Beijing, China) in 2007, Cathy Busby compiled photos of people wearing English-language message t-shirts from around the neighbourhood she was staying in Beijing. A selection of 82 of the source t-shirts were included in this small-format (101 pp.) artist book along with a list of all the t-shirt texts, contextualizing writing by Busby, and correspondence between her and Emily Falvey, Curator of Contemporary Art at The Ottawa Art Gallery.

A portable version of Whatever I Like, including this publication, was subsequently part of the exhibition Dongxi Things curated by Ulrike Johannsen at the Kunstverein Baden (Baden, Austria) in 2010.
